Training

A key area for colleges to consider is training. This could be to create procurement capacity or to raise awareness of procurement within the College to secure buy in to the procurement function.

The most recognised procurement qualification for procurement professionals is MCIPS accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing Supply. This qualification can be completed via the exam route and there are colleges who offer these courses either through classroom study or distance learning.  For more information visit the CIPS website.
